📜 Today's Meditation

Isaiah chapter 1 begins with God's lament over Israel. The people offered sacrifices and kept festivals, but God took no pleasure in their worship. They appeared devout outwardly, yet their lives were full of injustice. What God desired was not the smoke of burnt offerings, but clean hands and righteous hearts. The command to 'wash yourselves' is not merely about ceremonial cleansing—it's a call to examine your entire life. God didn't stop at telling them to cease doing evil; He said to learn to do good. He told them to care for orphans and widows. On this second day of Lent, these words pose a weighty question: Is our faith confined to the church walls, or does it flow out into our daily lives?

🙏 Today's Prayer

Heavenly Father, today I examine myself before Isaiah's words. I confess the days when I called upon Your name with my lips while living far from You in my daily life. Teach me that ceasing evil and learning good is true worship. Grant me a faith that does not turn away from the vulnerable around me, and pour out courage to stand with the orphan and the widow. During this season of Lent, let this be a day where I live out Your will beyond the church doors. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.
