Have you ever walked down a dark mountain path? Without a flashlight, it's hard to take even a single step. But the flashlight only illuminates what's right in front of us—not a hundred meters ahead, just a few steps ahead.
God's Word is the same. He doesn't show us a map of our entire life, but rather illuminates the step we take today. We may not know what tomorrow will bring, but God shows us the way to walk today.
Reading Scripture is like turning on that lantern. Without it, we grope in darkness.
🙏 Today's Prayer
O God, let Your Word be a lamp to my life. When fear comes because I cannot see ahead, illuminate my path one step at a time with Your Word. Grant me the habit of reading Scripture daily, and let it guide the direction of my life. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.
