Bible Verses for Comfort
📖 Bible Verses
📜 Meditation
God is 'the God of all comfort' (2 Cor 1:3).
In Isaiah 41:10, God promises three things: His presence, His strength, and His support. When we're afraid, God is with us; when we're weak, He gives strength; when we're falling, He holds us.
Jesus also invites: 'Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened.' Don't try to carry it alone. Lay your burden at Jesus' feet.
And Psalm 34:18 reveals a beautiful truth — God draws closer to the brokenhearted. The more you hurt, the closer God is.
🙏 Prayer
God of comfort, pour out Your comfort on all who are weary and burdened right now. Be with us when we're afraid, strengthen us when we're weak, and hold us when we fall. Let the weary find rest in You. In Jesus' name, Amen.
❓ FAQ
What Bible verses offer comfort during hard times?

Psalm 34:18 'The LORD is close to the brokenhearted' offers great comfort. Psalm 42 also beautifully addresses the soul's longing and restoration.
Which verses bring comfort in deep sorrow?
Psalm 23:4, Matthew 5:4 ("Blessed are those who mourn"), and John 14:1 ("Do not let your hearts be troubled") are the most-opened verses of comfort. Read one slowly at a time.
Why does God allow suffering?
Scripture does not explain every reason for suffering. But Romans 8:28 ("In all things God works for the good of those who love him") stands. Even when answers are unclear, His goodness does not shake.
How do I bring comfort with Scripture to someone grieving?
First be silent, just be present. Job's friends did best in their first seven days of silent presence. Then open one Psalm and read briefly. Presence comforts more than explanation.
