"The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?"
— Psalms 27:1

When David wrote this psalm, he was being hunted by his enemies. He faced the threat of death. Yet he boldly proclaims, "Whom shall I fear?"
This isn't recklessness. Just as light banishes darkness, the presence of God drives away fear. This is David's confession of faith.
Fear may not completely disappear. What matters is knowing that God is greater than fear. True faith is trusting God even when fear comes. Fear and trust can coexist.
🙏 Today's Prayer
Lord, You are my light and my salvation. When fear overwhelms me, help me remember that You are greater. Grant me faith to look to You rather than be crushed by fear. In Jesus' name, amen.
