"Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid."
— Gospel of John 14:27

Jesus spoke these words at the Last Supper. Within hours, He would be arrested and crucified. Yet in that darkest moment, He offered peace.
Notice the distinction: "not as the world giveth." Worldly peace comes when circumstances are favorable, when problems disappear. But Christ's peace is different—it thrives even in the midst of suffering.
Think of the eye of a storm. Outside, chaos rages. At the center, silence. Jesus offers us that kind of peace—not dependent on external conditions, but rooted in His presence.
🙏 Today's Prayer
Lord Jesus, I ask for the peace that You alone can give. Not the peace that comes when troubles fade, but the peace that sustains me in the darkest valleys. Help me release my anxieties and fears at Your feet. Let me experience Your presence as my true refuge. I pray in Your precious name. Amen.
